Ranchi, May 30: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission on Tuesday released the results of the 7th to 10th JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination 2021. With this, however, a list of all the cases against the commission was also released.
As per the list, a total of 34 cases were registered against the commission and the state of Jharkhand, most of which were dismissed by the High Court. Most of these cases, however, were lost by the petitioners.
All these cases were related to the implementation of reservations, an increase in age limit, and violation of rules and conditions. Of these, 14 cases were dismissed, while two petitions were withdrawn. Several of these cases are still pending; while others had their orders defected. The JPSC even had to publish a revised result of this examination after orders from the HC.
Advocates to petitioners, cases of whom are still pending, in this regard believe that the pending litigations and their subsequent High Court orders may affect the present results of the JPSC.
However, JPSC secretary Himanshu Mohan said, “I don’t think that the orders will affect the results as these petitions are pretty minor.”
With the conduct of the examination and declaration of the result in such a limited time, some people believe that the image of JPSC has improved, while others are still not so sure. Several aspirants including Manoj Kumar have also been pointing out several inaccuracies with the results published on Monday.
Manoj, while talking to this lagatar24.com correspondent, said, “There are several issues with the results declared by the JPSC. First of all, there was no cut off list declared. When they had declared the results before the interview, the reason for not releasing the cut off list was obvious. It would have affected the interview marking then. However, now there does not seem to be a reason for not releasing the cut-off.”
“Furthermore, they have not even done the category wise bifurcation. There are also around seven seats under the disabled quota, however, only three students have been given the said reservation. Along with this, there were seats for players under the games quota, however, those seats have not been mentioned in the list. He further asked that the HC still has several cases pending related to the examination, then why the urgency to publish results in record time.
With this reaction to the results, there may be a few cases against the JPSC in near future.
