SE Railway loads 33.07 MT freight in first two months of FY22-23

Ranchi, June 6: South Eastern Railway has loaded 33.07 Million Tonnes of originating freight in the first two months i.e. April and May of the current financial year (2022-23), as against 32.16 Million Tonnes loaded in the corresponding period of last year thereby registering a growth of 2.83%.

There has also been an increase of 6.26% in originating freight revenue in comparison to the first two months of the last fiscal year.

During April and May of the current financial year, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has been Rs 2835.93 crore as against Rs.2668.74crore in the same period of the previous year.

The main commodities of Freight loading during the first two months of 2022-23 were Iron ore, Coal, Pig Iron & Finished Steel, Cement, Fertilizer, Petroleum Products etc. SER has loaded 7.65 Million Tonnes of Coal during this period, which is 19.16% more than the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
