Ranchi Municipal Corporation to take action against vendors for charging extra parking fee

Ranchi, June 9: The parking fee for two-wheelers and four-wheelers had been fixed by Ranchi Municipal Corporation at Rs. 5 and 20 respectively. However, in many parts of Ranchi, the parking fee for cars was being charged for Rs. 40.

The recent incident took place at the parking of Blackberry’s building where a man was charged Rs. 40 for Parking his four-wheeler. On asking, the ticket man did not give a proper reply. The man tweeted about the issue and asked for actions to be taken against them.

 

Regarding the issue, Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargiya said that for various parking places in Ranchi, the fee fixed by the corporation for 3 hours is Rs 20 for four-wheelers and Rs 5 for two-wheelers.

“Recently, there was a complaint in the vicinity of Church Complex Main Road that people are deducting Rs 40. People had complained about this. After this, the complaint was escalated by us to the Municipal Commissioner. He was asked to take immediate action and soon action will be taken,” he added.
