Ranchi, June 14: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is set to begin conducting term 2 examinations all over the state for classes 8th, 9th and 11th from June 16. The council has already released instructions for the same to respective officials.
As per the officials at JAC, the first phase of examination for these classes is over and was taken on OMR sheets. Meanwhile, the second stage of the examination will be on the answer sheets. Very short answer, short answer and long answer questions will be asked in the second term of the examination. JAC has already released model question papers for class VIII, IX and 11th board examinations on its website.
Officials at JEPC have stated that the yearly syllabus has been cut down by 25 percent. The exam will be taken on the basis of the remaining 75 percent of the syllabus. A different syllabus has been prescribed for the Term 2 exam. After a 25 percent course cut, the remaining 75 percent syllabus is divided into two parts, part one of which was the syllabus for the Term one exams.
When asked if the present situation in the city and the possibility of issues that may hamper the conduction of exams, JAC Secretary Maheep Singh said that the first phase examination was held in a very peaceful environment and the second phase examination will also start from June 16. All the preparations have been completed regarding this.
When questioned about the delay in the results of boards, the Secretary said that the results for the class 10th and 12th board exams will be released by the end of this month. “The process of copy evaluation has been completed. The rest of the process is undergoing and will soon finish. The results of both the board exams will be released soon now,” Singh added.
