Ranchi police release posters of persons involved in June 10 violence

Ranchi, June 14: Ranchi Police headquarters on Tuesday released the posters of those involved in violence in the Jharkhand capital on June 10.

The development took place a day after Governor Ramesh Bias directed the Director General Police (DGP) for the same before pointing out loopholes in police preparedness to handle protestors.

 

 

Before the poster was prepared to elaborate exercise was done to ensure its genuineness. Media persons and technical experts were called at the time of compilation of the photographs from various sources to ensure that no innocent person could get space in the poster.

At the bottom of the poster, important telephone numbers have also been given and people have been asked to inform them regarding the whereabouts of the persons appearing on the poster. The Names of those, who have been identified, have been mentioned in the picture.

These posters will be put at different squares and roundabouts of the city.

Apart from posters, police have also started identifying miscreants through CCTV footage, call dumps and drone cameras.

So far, 12 persons have been arrested and 50 have been detained at different police stations. SP(city) Anshuman Kumar said he will soon disclose who masterminded the June 10 violence.
