‘Sweep Carnival’ organised in Mandar before the assembly by-election

Ranchi, June 17: A ‘Sweep Carnival’ was organised in Lapung block under the sweep program by the district administration to make voters aware of the Mandar assembly by-election. Under Sweep Carnival, competitions like football match, rangoli, quiz and painting were organised.

The carnival was organised at Lapung block headquarters stadium to make voters aware during Sweep Carnival. The football match was played between Devgaon of Lapung Block and Jai Sarna Star Club of Itki Block. The team of Devgaon, Lapung won the match 5-4 in the tie breaker.

In the drawing competition, Manisha Kumari secured the first position, Reema Oraon second and Gudiya Kumari came third. In the quiz competition, first place was secured by the team from CU, second place by BU and the third place by VVPAT team.

In the rangoli competition, Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Reema Oraon and Sukhmani Barla of Lapung got first prize, Surabhi Kumari and Tanush Kumari came second and the third place was secured by Anganwadi Center.
