Ranchi, June 24: The Amity University Jharkhand commenced its three-day Fourth Annual Youth Cultural Fest ‘Amiphoria 2022’ at its campus in the state capital and Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Mega Sports Complex, Khelgaon on Friday.
Welcoming everyone in the inaugural ceremony Prof (Dr) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Jharkhand said, “Euphoria related to Amity is Amiphoria. Amity has completed six years to showcase to be part of Jharkhand. Almost 500 publications are recorded of Faculty Members and 100 books by Faculty members and students.”
He emphasized on overcoming challenges for a successful life. “It is that perfection for which you have taken birth. Amity with its all wings looking alerts up welcomes everyone who joins Amity making sure you come and equip yourself to be the best in the field. Once you leave Amity, you are there to serve humanity,” he further added.
Chief Guest Retired Principal District Judge Pankaj Shrivastava suggested pursuing hobbies and being associated with social service apart from livelihood. Interestingly, he is also into magic shows and displayed one of them.
Another Chief Guest Mantosh Singh Kumar, Senior Resident Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jharkhand focused on expressing feelings in Hinglish. He further highlighted the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Also, New Education Policy was mentioned. He advised gaining knowledge about society or polity. Relevance of Management Guru Guru Charan Das’s books were mentioned. He further spoke of cultural heterogenous festivals.
According to Amity School of Law, Amity University Jharkhand Director Dr S Arvind Pandey there are four parts of life. First is knowledge, second is to earn, third is service and fourth cannot be done without the three mentioned phases. He added that freedom has certain boundaries. Prof (Dr) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University, Jharkhand, and Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University, Jharkhand as well as the Assistant Directors of Amity University Jharkhand conveyed their blessings on this occasion.
As many as 16 events were held on day one of which the final rounds of Urban Panchayat (Debate), Wordsworth, Adzap, Poster Presentation and Quiz Bowl were held on the occasion. Blazed Wings from Surendranath Centenary School bagged the first position in Urban Panchayat while Priyadarshani Das of AUJ secured the first place in Wordsworth. Sneha Gupta from Kalakosh stood first in Poster Presentation.
Sourab Mishra and Samyank Anand were declared the winners of Quiz Bowl. In the Adzap, Subhra Mandal and Vikas Goswami from NIAMT, Ranchi secured the first positions. Souptik Chatterjee of Amity University Jharkhand was the winner of Calligraphy.
Among these, the prelims of various sports events were also conducted at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium, Mega Sports Complex between teams of various educational institutions of Ranchi.
Notably, Amity University Jharkhand’s Alumni Meet on Saturday is expected to bridge the gaps between seniors and juniors. Over a dozen events are scheduled in the next two days of Amiphoria.
