Ranchi, June 29: Former chief minister and BJP legislature  party chief Babulal Marandi today alleged misuse of the residential office of chief minister Hemant Soren for grabbing tribal land and sent him a letter to ensure liberation of tribal land from the clutches of the mafia.

For example, the chief minister informed the CM about the attempted grab of ancestral land of a tribal family in Bargain village by the mafia with the help of a computer assistant of the residential office of Soren, Shahnawaz Ansari.

Marandi said that he had received a complaint in this regard from the victim Chanchla Munda, who is the wife of Kuldeep Munda, a resident of Bargain under Sadar police station. He mentioned that the plot which the mafia wants to grab bears Khata No. 235, Police Station No. 184, Plot No.-2729 and is located in Bargain Mauza. The area of the plot is 1.78 acres and its nature is Bhuihari, Marandi said.

Marandi in his letter mentioned name of Yasin Hamid Yusuf Ansari, Maqsood Aslam, Raju Mandal and many others as land mafia alleging that they got a paper signed by Munda on a plain paper in the name of taking permission for developmental work and then started capturing it with the connivance of the police administration.

Marandi alleged that computer operator Ansari, in connivance with the land mafia, repeatedly called the officials at the police station and also threatened the land owner by misusing his official address. He identifies himself as the caller from CM house and then threatens the land owner of dire consequences.

Marandi reminded Soren of his commitment for liberation of tribal land from the clutches of the mafia and warned him against the misuse of his residential office to grab the tribal land. He said even the old house of Munda has been demolished and has been converted into a showroom and shop by Kesar Ahmed.

Marandi has urged the Chief Minister to free the said ancestral land of the tribal family from the possession of the land mafia and take strict action against the fraudulent land brokers in order to restrain them from repeating this act again.

Marandi has given a copy of the letter to the Chief Secretary also.
