Ranchi, July 4: The hearing of the PILs against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday is likely to stand deferred due to the unavailability of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan due to some reasons.

As per the notice, the division bench of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad will not sit on Monday and Tuesday. But Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad will sit single on Monday and Tuesday at 10.30 A.M to take up listed cases. The case listed before the division bench of Chief Justice and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad shall remain stand over.  Urgent matters of the roster may be mentioned before the division bench of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice Deepak Roshan.

Both the PILs, 4290/2021 and 727/20222, were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday by the division bench of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad. One more important PIL 4632/2019 is listed for hearing on Tuesday.

The state government represented by Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan and senior Supreme Court lawyer Kapil Sibal and Hemant Soren represented by Meenakshi Arora were supposed to conclude their arguments over the merit of both the PILs.

In the PIL no. 4290/2021, the petitioner Shiv Shankar Sharma has alleged the chief minister and his associates for parking their unaccounted money in the shell companies and demanded a CBI inquiry. The PIL no. 727/2022 is related to the CM availing stone mining lease in his name at Angara in Ranchi.
