Indian Army Recruitment: Selection for matric pass candidates to be done on written and physical test

Ranchi, July 7: The Indian Army has invited applications for recruitment in over 458 posts all over the country. The recruitment will be done on posts including cook, civilian catering instructor, MTS (chowkidar), tinsmith, EBR, barber camp guard, MTS (mali), MTS (messenger/reno operator), station officer, fireman, fire engineer, fire fitter, civilian motor driver and cleaner.

Interested candidates between the age group of 18–27 may apply through the army website indianarmy.nic.in till July 15.

Applicants for the posts of tin smith, camp guard, camp guard, barber, MTS (messenger/reno operator), MTS (mali), MTS (chowkidar), fire fitter, and cleaner must have matriculation or equivalent certification from a recognized board and must be proficient in relevant trade.

In the case of the post of EBR, the minimum requirement includes matriculation or equivalent certification from a recognized board, and the candidate should be able to repair all canvas/textiles and leather.

Candidates interested in the post of civilian catering instructor must have matriculation or equivalent certification from a recognized board and a diploma or certificate in catering from a recognized board.

In the case of cooks, they must have matriculation or equivalent certification from a recognized board and must also have the skills in Indian cooking and business as required.

Civilian motor driver candidates must have matriculation or equivalent certification from a recognized board and must have a valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles, along with at least two years of experience in driving a motor vehicle.

After the selection in the recruitment process, the candidates can expect a salary ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 29,200 every month. Meanwhile, a written test will be conducted along with a skill and physical test for the selection process.

Candidates can apply offline and send an application to ‘The Presiding Officer, Civilian Direct Recruitment Board, CHQ, ASC Centre (South) – 2 ATC, Agram Post, Bangalore -07’. Physically handicapped candidates have no vacancies for trades including station officer, fireman, fire engine driver, fire fitter, civilian motor driver & cleaner. Candidates can apply for only one trade. Applications of the candidate will be rejected if found for more than one trade.

All correspondence including the dispatch of call letters for written test will be through e-mail only, and no physical copy will be dispatched. Therefore candidates should have mentioned the functional mob number and e-mail address.

The notification released by the army also states the number of vacancies mentioned above is provisional. The Commandant, ASC Centre (South) – 2 ATC, Post – Agram, Bangalore-07 reserves the right to change the number of vacancies, if necessary.
