Ramgarh, July 9: Tata Steel announced the launch of Queerious, a first-of-its-kind case study competition in India. The objective of the contest is to enable LGBTQ+ students to engage in the corporate world by sharing their ideas and doing a live internship with Tata Steel.
Queerious is a unique platform that provides young talent from the LGBTQ+ community with value addition and an opportunity to showcase their best talent at work.
Atreyi Sanyal, Vice President, Tata Steel Human Resource Management, said, “Acknowledging and evaluating differences brings us together to foster a thriving workplace. It aims to support young talent from the LGBTQ+ community and enable them to incorporate LGBTQ+ into the corporate world.”
Registration is currently underway for Queerious. The contest will be conducted in two rounds.
A case study will be shared over the mail with the participants in Round 1 to which they will be required to share the responses in a presentation form.
Selected candidates from Round 1 in Round 2 will be invited to make a detailed presentation on the problem description.
Details for Round 2 will be intimated after the declaration of the Round 1 result. The competition is open only to students from the LGBTQ community in the pre-final year, final year and batch of 2021. Candidates in Graduation and Post Graduation (Any Stream) who are interested can apply.
