Ranchi, July 14: The BJP will file an FIR against senior Congress leader and ex-IPS officer Dr Ajoy Kumar under ST/ SC (Prevention of Atrocity) Act 1989 for his derogatory remarks against the BJP presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu. Apart from this, the party will also launch protests against the Congress and make the villagers aware of the negative attitude of the party towards tribal people.

State President of BJP Scheduled Tribes Morcha Shiv Shankar Oraon informed this organising a press conference at the party state headquarters in Harmu. State BJP Mahila Morcha president Aarti Kujur and media co-in-charge Ashok Badaik were also present with him on the occasion.

Shivshankar Oraon said that Kumar in his statement has made a petty remark on a woman of the tribal society.

“It  was said that the tribal Droupadi Murmu will represent Satanic Philosophy. Congress should tell how it believes that tribal philosophy of life is a satanic philosophy. Not only the BJP but the entire tribal society is hurt by his statement, so the BJP will now launch a mass movement against the dirty attitude of Ajoy Kumar and the Congress towards the tribal society,” Oraon said.

Oraon said:  “the Congress has been neglecting the tribal society from the very beginning. Even a leader like Karthik Oraon did not get a place in the Indira Gandhi cabinet just because he was from the tribal society. In such a situation, now CM Hemant Soren should also come forward in view of such a mentality of the Congress regarding tribal society and vote in favor of Droupadi Murmu. He said that for the first time after independence, a woman from tribal society is sure to sit on the highest constitutional post of the country.”
