New Delhi, July 18: After winning the away series against England, India has maintained its third-place position in the most recent ICC ODI Team Rankings.
In the third ODI against England, Rishabh Pant’s first ODI century and Hardik Pandya’s all-around heroics propelled India to a decisive five-wicket victory, giving the visitors a 2-1 series victory. India is three rating points ahead of Pakistan (106) in the ranking with a rating of 109. With 128 rating points, New Zealand continues to dominate at the top of the standings, followed by England with 121.
But if South Africa wins their forthcoming three-match series against Pakistan, who are presently ranked sixth and only seven rating points below them, they might move up to fourth in the charts.
With a strong performance in their three-match series against West Indies, which begins this week, India might increase the margin of their lead even further.
In their upcoming one-day international match against the Netherlands in Rotterdam, Babar Azam’s team will play three 50-over games over the course of five days.
