The Indian squad for the U19 Asia Cup 2026 has been announced, with Aryavir Sehwag, son of former explosive batter Virender Sehwag, and Anvay Dravid, son of Rahul Dravid, both included, while Lakshya Raichandani has been handed the captaincy and Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan named vice-captain.
Squad Announced by BCCI Junior Committee
The BCCI’s junior cricket committee picked the India U19 team for the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup. The squad: Lakshya Raichandani (captain), Aryavir Sehwag, V.K. Vineet, Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan (vice-captain), Kushagra Ojha, Arjun Rajput, Manal Chauhan, Anvay Dravid (wicketkeeper), Rajat Baghel (wicketkeeper), V. Yashveer, Aryan Savsani, Mohit Ulva, Kavya Patel, Shavin Vinod and Ishan Sood.
Tournament in Muscat from November 5 to 14
The tournament will be held in Muscat, Oman, with eight teams split into two groups of four. Group A has India, UAE, Nepal and Pakistan, while Group B has Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Malaysia. The top two from each group will reach the semifinals, both of which are scheduled for November 12.
India’s Fixtures
India open against Nepal on November 6, face Pakistan on Sunday, November 8, and play their final league match against the UAE on November 10. If India top the group, they will play the semifinal on Friday, November 12, with the final on November 14.
