District level Forest Rights Committee holds meeting in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, July 22: A meeting of the District Level Forest Rights Committee and Chief Minister’s Health Assistance Scheme was organized on Friday under Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra.

Important decisions were taken by the DC after discussing with the members of the committee regarding the issuance of FRA/NOC etc. under the applications received from the sub-divisional level forest rights committee.

She directed to ensure that the beneficiaries who have been given the benefit of Forest Rights Patta, are given benefits by linking them with various schemes run by the government like MNREGA etc.

During the meeting organized under the Chief Minister’s Health Assistance Scheme, the Deputy Commissioner and other members of the committee were informed by the Sub-Divisional Welfare Officer. After examining the applications received, took important decisions regarding giving benefits to the beneficiaries.

The DC directed to organise health check-up camps in different Birhor areas of Ramgarh district and regular health check-up camps for other deserving people including scheduled tribes and scheduled castes and give them the benefit of the scheme.

Under the Chief Minister’s Health Assistance Scheme, people belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Castes, who are not financially capable, are given a grant of Rs 3,000 to 10,000 to get their treatment done for the cancer disease. An assistance amount of up to Rs 25,000 is given to the patients to take advantage of the scheme, the beneficiary can contact the nearest block office.
