Jamshedpur, August 5: South Eastern Railway today notified the diversion of several trains due to infrastructure development activities at Barkakana.
- According to a list of trains issued by Garden Reach, the Kolkata-based headquarters of South Eastern Railway the 18009 Santragachi-Ajmer Express leaving Santragachi on August 5, 12 and 19 will run on a diverted route via Muri-Ranchi-Lohardaga-Tori-
Garhwa Road. - The 18010 Ajmer-Santragachi-Express leaving Ajmer on August 7 and 14 will run on a diverted route via Garhwa Road-Tori-Lohardaga-Ranchi-
Muri. - The 18613 Ranchi-Chopan Express leaving Ranchi on August 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18 and 20 will run on a diverted route via Ranchi-Lohardaga-Tori-Garhwa Road.
- The 18614 Chopan-Ranchi Express leaving Chopan on August 7, 10, 12, 14, 17 and 19 will run on a diverted route via Garhwa Road-Tori-Lohardaga and Ranchi.
Increase in SER’s freight and revenue generation
South Eastern Railway has loaded 65.10 Million Tonnes of originating freight in the first four months i.e. April to July of the current financial year (2022-23), as against 64.92 Million Tonnes loaded in the corresponding period of last year.
During this period, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has been Rs 5517.08 crore as against Rs. 5323.51 crores in the same period of the previous year.
The main commodities of freight loading during the first four months of 2022-23 were coal, iron ore, pig iron, finished steel, cement, petroleum products etc.
According to records, SER has loaded 16.55 Million Tonnes of coal during this period, which is 25.95 % more than the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
