Ramgarh, Aug 19: The three-day of divisional level sports, which started on Aug 17, concluded today at Major Dhyanchand Stadium.
KV Ramgarh Principal of the school Dr Amita Jyotsna Bada welcomed the guest of the program DP Patel (Deputy Commissioner, KVS Ranchi Division) and the sports in-charge of Ranchi Division Shubhendu Priyadarshi on this occasion.
The chief guest congratulated the players participating in the competition to be organized by KVs. Along with this, he inspired the children to achieve success through discipline and sportsmanship. In his address, he also emphasized that sports are very helpful in the physical and mental development of students.
“A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. The chief guest decorated the selected participants with medals and in future to be organized by KVs. Best wishes for the national competition,” he said.
A total of 238 participants from about 26 schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Ranchi division participated in various types of athletics competitions. The entire competition was organized into three categories which included Under-14 Boys-Girls, Under-17 Boys-Girls and Under-19 Boys-Girls.
On the first day (Aug 17), the formal opening of this athletics program was announced with the welcome address by Principal Dr Amita Jyotsna Bada. The chief guest of the program was Col. Gyan Prakash Pandey, nominated chairman, Vidyalaya Management Committee, KV Ramgarh Cantt.
