Daltonganj, Aug 22: Three cops of the Satbarwa police station sustained injuries when one of the rear tyres of their official vehicle in which they were travelling burst on NH 75 on Sunday.

One cop sustained a spine injury. Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Vijay Singh said the cop’s x-ray finding is normal, nevertheless, a CT scan has been done for his spine injury. “Let CT scan report be studied and then accordingly follow up action to treat will be taken,” the doctor said.

Another cop sustained a head injury but it is not grave, according to Dr Vijay Singh. The other cop developed giddiness.

All three have been advised to stay put in the MMCH for 24 hours for their medical observation.

SDPO Surjit Kumar said the cops got hurt when one of the rear tyres of their vehicle burst. The cops were of the escort party which was on its way to Daltonganj.

“The cops were escorting Hon’ble Justice B B Mangalmurti, chairman of Jharkhand Real Estate Appellate Tribunal,” added the SDPO.

Justice Mangalmurti was on a two-day tour in Daltonganj. There is no official briefing about Justice’s visit here.
