Ranchi, Aug.31: The police in Deoghar today recovered a headless male nude body with its genitals chopped and both the legs amputated.

The place from where the body was recovered is Katwan village located in Hindolavaran-Tapovan main road of Mohanpur police station area of the holy town. It was packed in a bag.

The recovery took place on the information of the village women who noticed blood around the bag during morning walk and after being suspicious informed the police.

Superintendent of police of the district Subhash Chandra Jat confirmed the recovery saying ‘the body is yet to be identified.’

A police official said a murder case has been registered in this connection and probe has been started.

“Primary investigation suggests that the victim is hardly 18 and he was killed somewhere away from the place of recovery. A sharp edged weapon was used to commit the crime. Before the body was put in a bag it was wrapped in clothes and tied in a sack,” the police official said.
