New Delhi, Sept 16: A huge fire broke out in a tower in Changsha, a city in the Hunan region in central China on Friday. According to CCTV, the state channel, the fire has been put out but the exact number of casualties is unknown.
A large amount of smoke was visible rising from the scene, and a number of dozen floors were violently burning.
State-owned communications corporation China Telecom has a location in the building. Images depict large fragments of rubble being thrown from the office skyscraper.
