Ranchi, Sept.16: The court of additional judicial commissioner Dinesh Rai sentenced Tauseef Ansari alias Tarzan, Roshan Ansari and Hasibul Ansari alias Rooza, all residents of Nagdi police station area, 22 years of rigorous imprisonment for committing gang-rape with a married woman.
Along with this, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each on them. The amount of fine will be given to the victim.
The case arose after an FIR was registered on July 6, 2018 at the Nagdi police station on the basis of the victim’s . The victim in her FIR alleged that the trio committed rape when she was alone at her home and her husband had gone to bring vegetables from the market.
She alleged that the trio raped her after putting a cloth in her mouth. She also alleged them of assaulting her and threatening her of dire consequences in case of disclosure of rape before any other.
During the hearing in the case, APP Ved Prakash produced as many as nine witnesses before the court and the police presented scientific evidence in the court.
