Ranchi, Sept.29: The Jharkhand High Court, while hearing an appeal of the state government, has stayed the order of the CBI investigation against the principal secretary of industry and cabinet co-ordination departments, Vandana Dadel, in a case related to allotment of land in violation of the rules in Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA), Jamshedpur.
A division bench headed by Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh passed the order while hearing the appeal.
A single bench of the High Court had ordered a CBI probe into the matter of fixing the commercial rate of land for many institutions during allotment in violation of the rules in the AIADA.
Considering Vandana Dadel, the then Chairman of AIDA was involved in this case, the CBI probe was ordered. The single bench had also directed the chief secretary to take action at the departmental level against Dadel for misleading the court and suppressing facts in the matter and report the court within 15 days.
The single judge bench had passed the order while hearing the petition filed by Bebco Motors.
