Jamshedpur, Sept 30: To clear the extra rush of passengers, the South Eastern Railway has decided to run a special train between Thiruvananthapuram-Tatanagar-Thiruvananthapuram. The train will leave Thiruvananthapuram on October 1 and October 8 and Tatanagar on 4 and October 11.
06192 Thiruvananthapuram-Tatanagar Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 2.30 am and will reach Tatanagar at 4.20 pm, on the third day.
In the return direction, 06191 Tatanagar- Thiruvananthapuram Special will depart Tatanagar at 5.15 am and will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 5.50 am, on the third day.
The train with two AC 2 Tier, four AC 3 Tier, twelve Sleeper Class and one General Second Class coaches will have stoppages at Sini, Chakradharpur, Goelkera, Jaraikela, Rourkela, Rajgangpur and Jharsuguda stations in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
Chhotanagpur Passenger Association hailed the railway’s decision of introducing a special train which will help in easing the huge festive rush.
Railway sources said the railways might run a couple of other festival special trains for other destinations for the convenience of passengers.
