New Delhi, Oct 10: The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Monday that New Zealand will travel Pakistan again in five months to play two Test matches, eight One-Day Internationals, and five Twenty20 matches.

The two Test matches, which are a part of the World Test Championship, will take place in Multan from January 4–8 and Karachi from December 27–31. In addition, Karachi will host the three ODIs as part of the ICC World Cup Super League from January 11–15.

In April, New Zealand will visit Pakistan once more and compete in four Twenty20 matches in Karachi from April 13 to April 19. The fifth T20 and two ODIs will be played in Lahore from April 23–28, and the final three ODIs will be played in Rawalpindi from May 1–7.

Notably, a secret security worry caused New Zealand to cancel its tour of Pakistan last year, just hours before the first ODI in Rawalpindi.

The PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja, declared at the time that it was “frustrating” to see the Black Caps cancel the tour by acting unilaterally and not alerting Pakistan to the security threat.
