Raipur, Oct 13: Three people, including an employee of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), have been detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Chhattisgarh mining case. During raids on the home of the IAS officer, sources said that the agency found cash.
IAS Sameer Vishnoi, Sunil Agarwal from the Indramani Group, and Laxmikant Tiwari are among those detained. The federal anti-money laundering agency also managed to capture Suryakant Tiwari, the uncle of one missing person, following hours of questioning.

On October 11, starting at 5 a.m., the ED conducted searches on Chhattisgarh premises connected to officials close to the chief minister Bhupesh Baghel. The ED reported that it searched approximately 40 properties connected to Chhattisgarh government officials in a case involving disproportionate assets (DA).
The ED searched properties in Raipur,Raigarh, Mahasamund, Korba, amongst other districts. The investigation body added that the accused authorities engaged in the illegal practise of charging Rs 25 per tonne for each movement of coal in the state.
