Dhanbad, Oct 15: A four-year-old daughter of a warden from St Thomas School, Topchachi fell from the second floor of the hostel building in a mysterious condition on Saturday early morning. The school is around 31 km away from the district headquarters.

Nivedita, the four-year-old girl, has suffered from a critical head injury in and has been under treatment at the private Asarfi Hospital of the district.

The mother of the girl and warden of the school hostel Momini Das Modak first spotted her daughter lying on the ground in the Morning.  She had been living on the second floor of the hostel with her two daughters.

In the morning when she saw Nivedita missing from the bed, she searched for her and found her lying on the ground. With the help of school staff, she brought her 40 km away to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Dhanbad.

Since the medical college hospital has no neuro treatment facility, the doctors referred her to a private hospital after first aid. Her mother hospitalized her at Asarfi Hospital Baramuri. The doctors said her condition is critical.

While talking to the media, Momini Das Modak, who had been living in the school hostel for two years as warden expressed surprise at how her daughter fell from the second floor to the ground. However, she ruled out any foul game in it.

The school management told that first, they are focusing on the treatment of the girl, later on, they would discuss how she fell. Topchachi police station officials had no information about the incident.
