New Delhi, Oct 23: According to a media source, two members of Kenyan President William Ruto’s digital campaign staff, Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan and Mohammed Zaid Sami Kidwai were slain by a defunct organisation. In Kenya, they vanished in July of this year.

Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan last worked as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Balaji Telefilms. Before that, he was also the Managing Director of the OTT platform, HOOQ, and the Business Head and Chief Revenue Officer of Eros Now.

Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan and Mohammed Zaid Sami Kidwai contributed immensely to the success of Ruto’s campaign, said Itumbi, who was at the heart of Ruto’s presidential campaign, The Nation newspaper reported.

Zulfiqar and Zaid Sami Kidwai vanished in Kenya in the middle of July, according to MEA. Soon after that, a police report was filed there. A habeas corpus petition was then submitted to the Kenyan court.

The Special Service Unit (SSU), a group that has been accused of extrajudicial killings, is suspected to be behind the disappearance of the two Indians. Kenyan President Ruto has ordered the disbandment of SSU after a probe into the disappearance of the two Indians was linked to the unit, the report said.
