Jamshedpur, Oct 26: Most of the 24 districts of Jharkhand would witness clear sky and dry weather on Wednesday, said a daily forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
According to weathermen, the dry northerly wind has been restored as the influence of the cyclonic storm ‘Sitrang’ which had a landfall in Bangladesh, has weakened. Weathermen said mainly clear sky was expected to prevail across the state till October 29.
The Met centre also issued an alert of fog and mist in the morning and evening, especially in places located at higher altitudes.
Today’s satellite pictures indicated a Western Disturbance as a trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level running roughly along Long. 90.0°E to the north of Lat. 28.0°N.
Met statistics revealed that the minimum reading has come down below 18 degrees Celsius in most places.
Weathermen said that due to dry weather conditions the chill and nip in the air are going to intensify across Jharkhand later this week.
