New Delhi, Oct 26: The Indian cricket team decided not to practise on the day before their ICC T20 World Cup match against the Netherlands in Sydney because the practise location was more than 40 kilometres from the team hotel, according to sources in the BCCI. The location of the exercise was Black Town, which is 42 kilometres away from Sydney.

India began their World Cup campaign on Sunday by defeating Pakistan with the final ball in a dramatic match in Melbourne. At the Sydney Cricket Ground, they will next play the Netherlands on Thursday.

However, it should be emphasised that the practise locations are chosen and approved by the individual teams well in advance. Separately, according to BCCI sources, news agency ANI stated that Indian players were not given hot food after their practises and were dissatisfied with the after-practice meal they received in Sydney.

According to reports, Team India was dissatisfied with the Sydney after-practice meal they had, according to BCCI sources.
