Sanjay Raut’s custody extended by 14 days in money laundering case

Mumbai, Nov 2: Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP and close friend of Uddhav Thackeray, has had his judicial custody extended in a money laundering case by an additional 14 days.

On August 1, the Enforcement Directorate arrested him after questioning for more than six hours about the Rs. 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam.

According to the ED, Raut assisted the defendants in executing the fraud, and as payment, Rs 1.06 crore was improperly routed to the Sena politician and his wife Varsha Raut.
