DPS Ranchi shines in inter-school commerce fest

Ranchi, Nov 12: Delhi Public School (DPS) Ranchi emerged as champion whereas Sarala Birla Public School bagged the first runner-up position in the ‘Festivite 2022 – Inter School Commerce Festival’ organised by DPS on Saturday with the objective to provide commerce students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills, and managerial talents, forecast business trends and also encourage them to have a wider perspective of the subject.

Around 100 participants from 8 schools participated in 6 innovative and interesting events of this festival. Bridgeford School (Tupudana, Ranchi), D.A.V (Hehal), DPS Ranchi, Sarala Birla Public School, Surendranath Centenary School, Vivekananda Vidya Mandir, Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Corona Universal School sent their best candidates for this competition. The programme was graced by the Principal, Dr Ram Singh.

The events included “Harbingers of Change” – a Street Play Competition where the participants showcased their acting talent on the topic ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. “Bizmania – The Business Quiz” encouraged the students to explore their knowledge of the Business world. The objective of “Consiliate – a Business Debate” was to improve critical thinking analysis and to enhance communicative competency among the students.

Similarly, “Pandora’s Box” was a Product fair competition while “Commerce Premiere League – A game on bidding” and “Shark Tank – A Start-Up plan” provided an opportunity for the students to present their ideas and foster their entrepreneurial skills.

In “Harbingers of Change” DPS Ranchi bagged the first position, D.A.V, Hehal school secured the second position while Vivekananda Vidya Mandir bagged the Third Position.

Notably, Surendranath Centenary School secured the first position and Sarala Birla Public School bagged the second position and Bridgeford School bagged the third Position in “Bizmania – The Business Quiz” competition.

In “Consiliate – Business Debate” competition, Sanket Keshav of DPS Ranchi was bestowed with the first position while Abhyuday Tulsyan of DPS Ranchi and Jasreet Singh of Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School secured the second position. Priya Singh of Surendranath Centenary School bagged the third position.

In “Pandora’s Box – Product Fair competition”, DPS Ranchi (Suyash Shrivastava and Ayushi Sharma) bagged the first spot, Vivekananda Vidya Mandir School secured the second and DAV (Hehal) bagged the third.

Moreover, Sarala Birla Public School secured the top spot in ‘Commerce Premiere League – A game on bidding’ whereas DPS Ranchi and Surendranath Centenary School bagged the second and third spots respectively.

In “Shark Tank – A Start Up plan” competition DPS Ranchi was bestowed with the first position, Vivekananda Vidya Mandir secured the second and Sarala Birla Public School secured the third Position respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the school, Dr Ram Singh said, “This fest will enhance the creativity and innovative skills of students and make them aware of how to apply the theoretical aspects to real-life situations. Moreover, it will help them to meet the global competition in the corporate world.”
