Ramgarh, Dec 20: Ramgarh police station in-charge cum Inspector Sushil Kumar Singh was suspended on charges of dereliction of duty on Monday. He is accused of not cooperating with the SIT team in the Ramgarh firing case. The Ramgarh SP had also received several complaints against him.

In this case, an SIT has been formed under the leadership of SDPO Kishore Kumar Rajak to arrest the criminals. Whereas, the investigating officer of this case is Raghunath Singh. During the probe, it came to light that the SIT team of the station in-charge did not cooperate in the investigation. After this, the action of suspension was taken at the departmental level.

In a letter to the DIG North Chhotanagpur, Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey said that during the investigation, it was told that additional force and vehicles would be provided to arrest the accused but Sushil Kumar ignored the orders of senior officials.

A written order was issued to the investigators and five police officers and personnel to go out of the state (Karnataka), but Sushil Kumar Singh verbally refused to leave Ramgarh.
