Daltonganj, Dec 20: The state health department has launched the Jharkhand Swasthyakarmi Protsahan Samman Yojna to motivate, activate and inspire the health workers in achieving the desired results in the various health schemes of the National Rural Health Mission.
Additional Chief Secretary (health) Arun Kumar Singh issued a ‘Sankalp’ in this regard on December 19 outlining the need and objective of this Samman Yojna. The Sankalp is meticulous and exhaustive detailing every aspect of the capacity building of the health workers.
In the last five years of funding by the National Health Mission/National Rural Health Mission, Jharkhand could not spend more than Rs 32 crore beginning 2017-18 which meant adequate health schemes could not reach to a large chunk of the population. Sources said it was because of the lackadaisical attitude of the health workers at various levels.
Hence, to give a booster shot at the health workers, the state health department has now come out with Jharkhand Swasthya Karmi Protsahan Samman Yojna which aims to create a sense of competition, efficiency and dedication among the health workers to find the top slot for them by achieving the tasks set for them.
