Hazaribag, Dec 23: In the case of the sensational murder of Rinki Kumari, the police officials have now admitted that the cop in question, Parshu Kumar Ram (42) is following Ajay Devgan starrer movie ‘Drishyam’ and is trying to mislead the police with his concocted story.
According to the police, whatever Parshu Ram has told them so far is not right and circumstantial evidence hint at his involvement in this merciless killing.
Rinki’s dead body was found in a pool of blood on December 20 at the official residence of Parshu Ram which is located in a highly safe zone in the police line colony in the town. Both were in a live-in relationship for the last two months.
Ram told the police that he returned to his quarter at 7:20 pm and found Rinki dead. When police officials reached there after learning about the murder, he was ready with his time story.
A well-placed source told this correspondent that Ram said he talked to his friend over the phone at 6:13 pm on Tuesday and left for his duty at 6:15 pm. He even showed all the duty records at the police line and proof of meeting other policemen and talking to some before returning home at 7:20 pm.
The insider also said that usually, people don’t keep records of their daily routine. But the way Ram explained to the police about his evening duty giving every detail with a specific time, hints towards his pre-planning. He even activated the call recording mode of his mobile a day before the murder and recorded many calls to prove that he has nothing to do with this case.
“The police have also found proof of many deleted evidence from his mobile. All circumstantial evidence is pointing a finger at Ram’s involvement in this case,” the insider added. The officer said that Ram is treading cautiously and smartly like the ‘Drishyam’ character to get out of this murder case.
Officer-in-charge of Lohsigna police station Arvind Kumar Singh said Ram was sent to jail and they are searching for others involved in the case.
