New Delhi, Jan 7: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who narrowly avoided a terrible vehicle accident last week, underwent successful knee surgery at a Mumbai hospital, according to BCCI sources.
Dr. Pardiwala, Director of Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service and Head of the Centre for Sports Medicine, oversaw the procedure at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri West.
“Rishabh Pant has successfully undergone knee ligament surgery on Friday. He will be under observation. Further course of action and rehabilitation will be advised by Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala and followed by the BCCI sports science and medicine team,” a BCCI source told PTI.

Since Pant was unable to fly on a commercial airline, he was transported from Dehradun to Mumbai via air ambulance.
The 25-year-old sustained several injuries after his car hit a divider and caught fire as he was travelling from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his family members in the early hours of December 30.
