Ranchi, Jan 21: Delhi Public School Ranchi organised a Project Model Exhibition – ‘ACADEXPO’ on 21 January. The main objective of this exhibition was to provide a platform to the students, where they can exhibit their potential of creativity, innovation, out of the box thinking and demonstrate their learning experience.
A series of splendid exhibits covering various important subjects were displayed in the Project Model Exhibition. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Ram Singh. The magnificence of the day was made brighter by students, parents and teachers.
Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, said “The exhibition is an excellent example of active learning, a cornerstone for successful learning that grooms children to be future-ready learners for life. These academic activities are wonderful tools that engage all students and teachers in learning new facts and help them develop a curiosity to learn more using knowledge and bringing out the best from them”.
The Programme witnessed active and ardent participation from both Primary and Senior Wings (Classes Nur to IX and XI) of the phrontistery who presented their highly creative ideas showing their enthusiastic participation in this exhibition.
The uniqueness of this exhibition lay in the fact that it had covered so many subjects like Mathematical Science, Life Science, Environmental Science, Social Science, Language and Literature, Business Finance, Management and Economics, Teaching Aid Preparation, Art and Craft and Sports and Physical Education. Around 1000 models were put up by the young minds. The icing on the cake was of course the display of the class magazine of each and every section. It was a spectacular show with children showcasing their innovative ideas to present their models on several topics like Physical Science, Aerodynamics, Hydrodynamics, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Agricultural Food Security, Earth and Environment Science, Biotechnology, Genetics, Health and Hygiene, Water Harvesting, Energy Resources and Conservation, Start-up plans, Banking, Finance and Stock Market etc.
The students of the Primary Wing also presented unique thematic exhibits. For English it was ‘Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book’, in Hindi it was ‘Krishna ki Jhanki’, For Science it was ‘Sculpting India’, for Social Science it was ‘Incredible India’ and for Mathematics, it was ‘Mathematics in Daily Life’. These exhibits were captivating and awestruck the guests, judges and visitors.
The students also presented beautiful models to show how topics like Probability, Multiplication, and Square of any number in Mathematics can be taught through games and hence make learning interesting. Another major attraction of this exhibition were the Smart Dustbin, Chat-Bot, AI Robot, Garbage collecting Robot, Water Conservation App, 3D Hologram Projector, Non-Newton Fluids, Street light using motion sensor, Mechanical hand for disabled, Southern India Architecture style, Drip Irrigation, Grey Water Harvesting, Making Bio fuel using mass production of algae, Water level indicator, Sugar fuelled rocket and Earthquake Alarm etc.
In English the models based on Authors in Indian Literature, Vocabulary and Figures of speech were some of the major attractions. The students were felicitated with medals and certificates.
