Ranchi, Feb 7: Senior JMM leader Lobin Hembrom today opened the front against his party colleague and Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren and Advocate General (AG) Rajiv Ranjan and said both are misfits for their jobs.
“When Marandi had implemented the 1932-Khatiyan-based local policy it was Rajiv Ranjan who had gone to Jharkhand High Court to challenge the policy and Jharkhand could not get a local policy. In this situation, the state government has given the responsibility to the AG to advocate Ranjan, whose mindset is anti-Jharkhandi. Whatever policy the state government formulates suiting locals, AG fails to defend it at Raj Bhawan and court. Government should remove AG,” Hembrom said.
Hembrom on the occasion questioned the logic behind chief minister Johar Yatra and said it was an attempt to fool locals.
“When the state government neither succeeded in formulating recruitment policy nor was able to implement 1932-Khatiyan-based local policy then why this Johar Yatra? It is nothing but an attempt to befool locals,” Hembrom said.
The tribal leader alleged the chief minister of adopting a dual policy on Parasnath.
“Chief Minister Hemant Soren says that Parasnath belonged to tribals and will remain to belong to tribal but the word ‘tribal’ is not mentioned in his letter written to the central government and it is described as a place of pilgrimage of Jain monks. This is an attempt to fool the tribe and therefore there will be a gathering of the tribe in Parasnath on the 21st and 22nd of February,” Hembrom said.
Presenting another befooling attempt of CM, Hembrome said that CM talks about 75 per cent reservation in jobs to locals in the private sector but how come it be implemented without a local policy? He said tribal land is being looted but the CM is maintaining silence.
The JMM letter went on saying Bihar was better than present Jharkhand as the purpose of bifurcating Jharkhand from Bihar has not been fulfilled.
Hembrom on the occasion made announcements of many programmes of Morcha saying there will be a divisional conference in Hazaribag on March 4 and it will be followed by a big rally at Ranchi on March 18.
He also informed the mobilisation of tribals from all over the country in Parasnath on February 21 and 22. He said on March 13 and 14 there will be a dharna outside the assembly and On March 15 siege will be laid over Vidhansabha.
