Jamshedpur, Feb 22: If the forecast of IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre is any indication then dry and hot weather is expected to prevail in isolated pockets of the state during the next few days.
The maximum temperature has already touched 34 degree Celsius in Jamshedpur and several other parts of the Kolhan region.
The maximum temperature also hovered around 34 degree Celsius in Daltonganj and its adjoining areas.
The Western Disturbance as a trough in lower and middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level was today running roughly along Long. 70°E to the north of Lat. 32°N.
The induced cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining Pakistan was lying over Haryana and the neighbourhood extending up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
A low-pressure trough was also running roughly along Long. 87°E to the north of Lat. 22°N between 1.5 Km and 2.1 Mm above the mean sea level.
