New Delhi, Feb 24: A technical issue forced an Air India flight from Kozhikode to Dammam, carrying nearly 168 passengers, to make an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport on Friday.
The aeroplane departed from Calicut’s Karipur Airport at around 9.44 am. Before landing, it was in the air for around two hours. According to reports, the fuel capacity was decreased before landing.

This is the second occurrence of this type in a week.
An Air India flight (AI106), with close to 300 people, had to make an emergency landing in Stockholm, Sweden, the day before.
The Boeing 777-300ER-operated flight was diverted due to an oil leak in one of the engines.
