New Delhi, Feb 26: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will interrogate Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi today, over the suspected excise policy scam.
By 11 a.m., Sisodia is likely to arrive at the CBI’s headquarters on Lodhi Road in the heart of Delhi. Security has been stepped up outside his home with the installation of four-layer barricades and the deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RFA).
Sisodia was initially called last Sunday, but he requested a delay in his questioning because of the ongoing Budget process. As a result, the CBI invited him to appear on February 26. Sisodia also handles the Finance responsibility in the Delhi Cabinet.
Sisodia would visit Raj Ghat before arriving at the CBI office, according to sources. By nine in the morning, he is predicted to depart his home.
With regard to Sisodia’s arrest, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once more stated its concerns.
“God is with you Manish. The blessings of lakhs of children and their parents are with you. When you go to jail for the country and society, then going to jail is not a curse, it is a glory. I pray to God that you return from jail soon. Children, parents and we all of Delhi will be waiting for you,” AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.
https://t.co/h8VrIIYRTz

“This is Modi ji’s police, they have put in full force to arrest Manish Sisodia though the crime rate is not decreasing. The leaders of AAP are being put under house arrest. Why are you so afraid of Arvind Kejriwal, Modi ji? Nothing will happen with these tricks,” AAP MP Sanjay Singh tweeted.
