New Delhi, March 18: Cricket Ireland has confirmed that India will visit Ireland in August 2023 to take part in a three-match T20I series.
Last year, the sides engaged in a thrilling two-match series, which India won handily. The board in a statement claimed that the return of India for a second consecutive year “represents a vote of confidence in the quality and competitiveness of the current Irish squad”.
The games are scheduled to take place in Malahide from August 18 to August 23.
Ireland will host Bangladesh for a three-match World Cup Super League series before playing India. The games will take place in Chelmsford in May. Ireland will want to sweep the series to guarantee their automatic qualifying for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, although Bangladesh has already qualified for the tournament.
Ireland will have to go to Zimbabwe in June for the 50-over World Cup Qualifier if they don’t defeat Bangladesh with a score of 3-0.
