Ranchi, March 30: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren promised a better temple of Lord Ram in Jharkhand’s capital.

He promised the same while delivering his speech on the occasion of Ram Navmi at Ram Janki Tapovan Mandir at Niwaranpur, the culminating point of the procession which started from over 500 akharas across the Jharkhand capital and reached the place via Main Road.

“A few days ago I laid the foundation stone for a 13 crore project of temple beautification. If required more amount will be spared for the same. In the next Ram Navmi you will see a temple with a difference at the place,” CM Soren said.

Jharkhand capital has an old tradition of taking out a procession on the occasion of Ram Navmi. Soren during his speech expressed his desire for the maintenance of the tradition. “Yah Silsila Aur Bhi Mazboot Ho Jaye (May this tradition become stronger,” Soren said.

Soren was appearing in the real Ram Bhakt today. He ended his speech chanting “Jai Shree Ram” thrice and did not make any political statement.

Earlier Soren accompanied by his party colleague and Rajya Sabha member Mahua Maji reached Niwaranpur. He appealed for a peaceful celebration to those participating in the procession.

Earlier, before his arrival, four people sustained injuries after the sound system collapsed due to a storm. All the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
