Ranchi, April 5: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that all the medical officers and community health officers, who received appointment letters in the auditorium of RIMS Auditorium today, will have a big responsibility in the health sector of the state.
“From today onwards, all of you will work as an integral part of the government strengthening the health service further in the state,” he said.
“Be it the people of rural areas or the people of urban areas, the responsibility of protecting their health is now on your hands. You all know that what is the condition of health in the remote areas of the state, it may be that you will face many challenges every day and every time during the discharge of your duty. How you face these challenges will depend on you,” Soren told the newly appointed doctors.
Addressing a function organised by the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department to distribute appointment letters, the chief minister congratulated all the newly appointed Medical Officers and AYUSH Community Health Officers.
Expressing faith in all the newly appointed medical officers, the chief minister said that he has full faith that all of them will discharge their duties with dedication, determination and complete honesty.
“Wherever you are posted, all of you will always be committed to ensure that the people of that place get better health facilities,” Soren told the doctors.
The responsibility of protecting the health of poor people is on your shoulders, he added.
Soren told all the medical officers that from today the government is taking their responsibility and they have to take the responsibility of protecting the health of the poor and downtrodden people of this state.
The Chief Minister said that as we are moving fast in this technological age, health related challenges are also increasing.
Along with the appointment letters to the medical officers, the newly constructed academy building in the RIMS campus and four important machines of the Cardiology and Radiology Department were also inaugurated.
“With the installation of machines equipped with these modern techniques, better health facilities can be provided to the patients arriving here for treatment. Although many organizations are working in the field of health at their own level, but when it comes to Jharkhand, 70 to 80% people come from rural areas and these rural people still have faith in government systems. Our government is working with commitment to provide better and better facilities to the people in the field of health,” he said.
