Ranchi, April 5: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda today assured a Hodopathy Ethnomedicine Doctors Association of India (HEDAN) delegation in New Delhi that a national conference will be organised on Hodopathy at National Tribal Research Institute (NTRI) and establishment of National Institute of Ethno Medicine (NIEM) will be considered.
Apart from this, Munda assured establishment of an institution for collection, processing, production and development of Mahua. He informed the delegation about an allotment of Rs 4 crore for establishment of an institution in Birbanki to conserve tribal knowledge assuring that a laboratory of Hodopathy will also be established there.
The delegation comprising Vasvi Kiro and Dr Anil Goyal earlier stressed upon the need for inclusion of Hodopathy under Ayush.
