New Delhi, April 27: Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister for Law and Justice, on Thursday, announced the appointment and transfer of judges in the High Courts.
Rijiju tweeted, “In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following as Judges in the High Courts and also transfer High Court Judges.”
Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal has been appointed as an Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, as per the law minister’s tweet. Judicial Officers Girish Kathpalia, Manoj Jain, and Roopesh Chandra Varshney will be appointed as additional judges of the Delhi High Court.
The following Judicial Officers will be appointed as judges for the Madhya Pradesh High Court: Anuradha Shukla, Sanjeev Sudhakar Kalgaonkar, Prem Narayan Singh, Achal Kumar Paliwal, Hirdesh and Avnindra Kumar Singh.
The new judges for the Uttarakhand High Court will be Pankaj Purohit, Rakesh Thapliyal, and Judicial Officer Vivek Bharti Sharma.
Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma from Patna High Court has been transferred to Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Justice Atul Sreedharan from Madhya Pradesh High Court has been appointed to Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
