New Delhi, May 21: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha and JDU leader Lalan Singh were also present at Kejriwal’s residence along with Nitish Kumar. AAP MP Sanjay Singh was also present along with Chief Minister Kejriwal.
It is believed that Arvind Kejriwal discussed with Nitish Kumar the ordinance of the Center in Delhi and appealed to him to support him. Apart from this, there has been talk on fixing the date and place of the proposed meeting of various parties for the opposition unity against the BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The meeting can be held on a large scale in Patna.
Notably, this is the second meeting of Nitish Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal in a month. Earlier, the CM of Bihar had met Kejriwal on 12 April. During this, Kejriwal appreciated Nitish’s efforts and expressed ‘full support’ towards it.
Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar is busy in his efforts to bring all the opposition parties together. Nitish Kumar has so far met the leaders of about 15 opposition parties. First of all, he met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. After this, Nitish also met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
