New Delhi, May 21: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has attacked the central government for the inauguration of the new Parliament House by PM Modi. Describing it as wrong, Rahul Gandhi said that the President should inaugurate the new Parliament House, not the Prime Minister.

Notably, on May 28, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed Parliament House. After the completion of the construction work of Parliament House, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met PM Modi and requested him to inaugurate it. The Lok Sabha Secretariat gave this information on Thursday.
The Congress had earlier termed the new Parliament building as a personal ambition project of PM Modi. Congress had said that what is the need of such a building when the voice of the opposition has been locked. The Congress had also said that it was an insult to the President not to inaugurate the new Parliament House.
