New Delhi, May 28: On the anniversary of VD Savarkar’s birth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla, a number of Union ministers and MPs paid floral tribute to him at the Central Hall of the old Parliament building.
After officially opening the new Parliament building, Prime Minister Modi presented a floral tribute to the portrait of Savarkar in the Central Hall.
Along with the PM, a number of Union ministers and MPs paid tribute to Savarkar in the Central Hall.
Home Minister Amit Shah paid homage to Savarkar in a tweet written in Hindi, stating that via his thoughts, he lit a patriotism lamp in the hearts of countless Indians.
“The patriotism, sacrifice and dedication of Veer Savarkar ji is praiseworthy and will continue to inspire the people of the country for ages,” he said.
