No Electricity, drinking water supply for last 72 hours in Hazaribag

Hazaribag, May 28: In Hazaribagh and surrounding areas, there is a hue and cry for electricity and water. On May 25, at around 5 pm, an hour-long strong wind and rain made the residents of the city sleepless. Even after 72 hours, the power system has not become normal here.

Due to no electricity, the water supply in the city has collapsed. At the same time, due to lack of electricity, even the motor for government and private boring is not running. In such a situation, a severe water problem has arisen in the city.

The power supply system has not been normalized till now in the entire Hazaribagh district and surrounding areas including Korra, Demotand, Matwari, Heerbagh Chowk, Dipu Gadha Colony, Kumhar Toli, PTC area, Indrapuri, Daily Market, Mohan Talkies area, Chatra Road of the city.

Hazaribagh Superintendent Engineer Sudhir Kumar told that according to the local people, such a storm had never come in the history of Hazaribagh. A large number of electric poles and wires have collapsed in this storm. Hundreds of transformers have been damaged. A large number of 33 and 11 KV lines were also broken down due to the storm. However, now most of the KVA line has been fixed. The work of installing electric poles and wires has also been completed. Sudhir Kumar said that from this evening till Monday, the power supply system will become normal in the entire Hazaribagh.
