Ranchi, May 28: CPI (Communist Party of India), CPIML (Marxist-Leninist) observed Black Day at Albert Ekka Chowk to protest against not inviting President Draupadi Murmu to the inauguration of the new Parliament building and not getting it inaugurated by her.

In order to take constitutional action in honour of the President and protect the constitution, the leaders and workers of the left parties celebrated Black Day by wearing black badges and carrying placards in their hands.

During this, other organizations including CPIML, Massas, Progressive Writers Association, Tribal Association, ST SC Morcha, Journalist Association, All India Women’s Society, Labor Organization were present.

CPI State Secretary Mahendra Pathak said in his address that a new dark chapter has been added to the country. Because by not inviting President Draupadi Murmu to the inauguration program of the new Parliament House, the government has shown its dictatorship. The Prime Minister has torn apart the Constitution. Constitutionally, the Parliament House opens with the permission of the President. The Parliament session begins with President’s address. With President’s permission, the tenure of the Parliament runs. Whatever bills are passed inside the Parliament, it also takes the form of law only with the signature of the President. He told that 19 political parties and 253 MPs of the country have boycotted the inauguration of the new parliament.
